Not a fan of the CEO of the company that shares my name. I came up with it first. :P

If you like your work and you want it to be Seen By Others, you need to be the one to advocate for it. Your work only has one truly dedicated fan and it's you. Yes, it can feel an awful lot like you're being annoying when you talk about your work for the fiftieth time, but if you don't talk about it, nobody else will know it exists.

The mantra I repeat whenever making posts or contacting press or making marketing materials is "it is my job to be annoying." Not that being annoying is an unfortunate side effect, or an acceptable consequence; it is my job. If I don't talk about my work, no one will. If I believe in it -- if I truly think it's something special that the world needs to see -- then actively sharing it with others is part of my duty as an artist.
