  1. When a distinguished but elderly operator states that something is being received, they are probably right. When they state that something is not being transmitted, they are very probably wrong.
  2. The only way of discovering the limits of bandwidth, is to venture a little outside of them.
  3. Any sufficiently advanced signal is indistinguishable from noise.
