make shit out of stamped metal and wires again instead of cost engineering it all to hell in an injection molded plastic case. every old space heater we still get either works or would work if the grease in the motor hadn't dried out, and every new space heater we get just fails to turn on for electronic reasons

comically, I disassembled and "fixed" my space-heater a couple weeks ago... the little plastic thingy holding the "on" button in place over the mechanical switch broke. I rolled up a piece of packing tape to hold the button, instead, and it's good as new! :D
