Analog horror is fun and cool, but nothing produced today will have as absolutely rancid and evil vibes as the behind the scenes footage from S12 of Thomas.
(This was the transition between the physical sets and models and 3D CGI, and briefly they used the real models with CGI faces. The forbidden rune looking things are alignment charts for attaching CG to the footage of real models)
the timer on the right pic really makes it feel like supplemental material to a creepypasta
absolutely, that and the crushed quality and darkened lighting (which is all the result I think of this being an ultra cropped view of a preview monitor)
Perhaps it's because Thomas is so familiar to me and my brain is just Gestalting his and Gordon's faces in, but these don't seem. threatening or horrifying!
This is definitely not to say that I don't vibe with the horror potential, but rather just observing the way it happened to bounce off me!
