In the mid-to-late 2000s, Linux distro Ubuntu (or its parent company Canonical? unclear) would ship you install & live discs FOR FREE if you requested them. This was great because high-speed always-on internet wasn't as pervasive then (I was on dialup at home until 2007? I think?). They made discs for each release, for 32 and 64 bit x86, and also at times PPC (and if I remember correctly, Kubuntu and Edubuntu? maybe?)
Do you have any of these lying around? I want to collect them - both because a full set is a cool thing to see on the shelf, and for an eventual blog post / video about the program (hopefully). I would happily pay you $20 shipped for any discs & cases in reasonable condition! There's some jokers on ebay trying to sell them for absurd prices, but I got this one at its opening bid of $9.99 and no one else bid, soooooooo I think they are just jokers and these aren't actually valuable.
Please reach out!
