I took a peek at the cohost bug tracker and the mock up organizable media tab has me salivating.
I hope it becomes real one day.

Oh wow, I wanted to pitch something like this in the feature request forum, this is even better than what I was imagining
if there's not a post for it yet, please feel free to add one and contribute your thoughts! multiple perspectives on new and highly-requested features are why we spun up the forum format, so even if a feature request ticket would be redundant, a forum post is great!
