I saw the trailer for the Netflix three-body problem and thought "hmmm, this seems like a company that is bad at making tv shows making a tv show about a book that is both unfilmable and not very good, this seems like a premium trainwreck". how bad is it
oh shit am i allowed to talk about how three body problem is overrated??
The central premise seems fun in a weird sci-fi way, but the depiction of how scientists behave and talk to each other (and other humans) is the worst I've ever seen on TV, and I've watched most of CSI Las Vegas.
When they were being sad about physics going weird I kept shouting at the screen that real physicists would be excited about that, not depressed
Ok this is the really weird part right because they act like weird Big Bang Theory character concepts when they're not doing anything science-relateed, but then when something scientific actually does crop up they react in such a bizarre way.
