I still wear a mask most places. Its always one of the cloth ones that my old job provided me, but they are So much better than nothing, and they help with my allergies. I just wish it wasnβt 100 some odd Fahrenheit all the time in the summer here, I wouldnβt sweat through them so much.
Yeah, the best mask you can afford is better than no mask!
FWIW, N95s sometimes end up on fire sale prices (even the 3M Aura masks, which are exceptional by N95 standards), and you can reasonably get 40 hours out of one if you rotate between a few. They still have the condensation issue to some degree, but I've found that they're much more comfortable than cloth masks, due to being semi-rigid when (un?)folded such that they don't get sucked in while speaking.
