I'm still trying to figure out out if i want to be a regular user on this site, but information on how it works doesn't seem to be very accessible.
For example: when i share a post, who gets a notification? Is it the person who's account i shared the post from or is it the original poster? What about comments? Do they all get notifications if i share a post with comments on it?
Are notifications the only way i can know who has interacted with my post? Is there some way to see who has interacted with a specific post? I get the lack of metrics, but i feel like there's so little transparency on posts.
Can i see who my mutuals are in any way without going through my followers list?
I have more questions but these are the ones that i find really unintuitive. I couldn't find any of these answers on the support page. :/

as far as i can tell, anyone who actually contributed post content. shares with nothing (or nothing but tags) don't contribute to this. so if B reblog-replies to A, and C shares that, and you (D) reblog it from C, only A and B get notified. i'm not super clear if it keeps notifying the first poster about shares after that.

correct. outside of comments (which are visible on a post), there is no way to look at an individual post and find who interacted with it, shared it, liked it, whatever. the only way to see that is in the "notifications" view, which shows actions across all posts.

no :) this is an intentional design feature :) : ) :)
you can set up "private contact info" on your page that is only visible to people you follow, that says something like "if you see this, i am following you". if you don't have one set, it does not appear, though.

Both do, yes. That's called an addition or sometimes a reply here btw. Comments are comments.

This might also be a script thing. If you mean for it to show up on their profile that they follow you, that's definitely a script. I see no need for a mutuals page really.
