In my spare time I’ve been working through ideas for a fighting game that would marry Kamen Rider with Bloody Roar, two franchises which 8ing, one of the most wonderful fighting game developers on god’s green earth, has extensive history with. One of my ideas was to basically take from whole cloth the idea of fighting in your civilian (human) form before transforming into your Rider (beast) form. For a while I ran into the hurdle of “this could never happen because of how expensive it would be to license the likeness of every actor”.
So I basically wrote fan fiction in order to create a scenario where a pretend fighting game can have this one system. lmao. The idea is to have players play as an avatar (custom or pre-made) who will act as the civilian form, which will allow the transformation into the Rider form.
Story Synopsis
Some years after the events of Kamen Rider Revice, a scientist who is studying Kamen Riders across history1 has successfully created an incredible new piece of technology -- the Hyper Driver, a transformation belt inspired by those worn by the Kamen Riders themselves, that allows anyone to don the armour of any Kamen Rider whose combat data is contained within the encrypted data cloud known as the RCDB, or Ride Connect Database. You are one of many candidates chosen to be a Hyper Rider, and test the capabilities of the Hyper Driver by participating in the Hyper Climax Duel, a tournament of sorts that will pit participants against one another in Rider-on-Rider sparring matches, with the aim of using the data to help improve the design and functionality of the Hyper Driver.
However, while the intent of the Hyper Driver was to preserve the history of the Riders as well as aid future allies of justice, a group of cyberterrorists calling themselves S-Unknown has infiltrated the Hyper Climax Duel and reverse engineered the Hyper Driver in order to create the Hacker Driver based on its design, allowing S-Unknown operatives to become Hacker Riders by hacking the data of Riders not held in the RCDB into the Driver and using it for their own nefarious purposes.
Now you must call upon the powers of Kamen Riders from across history to take down the Hacker Riders, stop whatever S-Unknown is planning, and potentially uncover mysteries about the Hyper Driver and its creation that are not yet known...2

Please god if we can afford to license at least one actor’s likeness for this game can it be Tetsuya Iwanaga so that Kuroto Dan can be in this game, it would make too much sense and also be extremely funny
