This is actually a revised version of the top 25 I posted over at twxtter a few days ago. I had to make some changes because the first one had some pretty shocking omissions in retrospect. You can make your own here.

In any case, the point is to pick games that I consider important to me, games that are formative to who I am now in some respect, games that do things that appeal to my artistic sensibilities or games that are just plain fucking awesome. Often it’s a combination.

The top row is probably the best way you could distill the concept of Sleepmode down to five video games (for whatever that’s worth), but all of these games are important to me in some way or another.

By the way, you should totally send me an ask about any of the games on here if you’re curious about the significance of any of these particular games, why I put Tekken 4 on there over more mechanically sound Tekken games, or what the hell Jackie Chan in Fists of Fire is.
