I recently drafted myself into a FT10 exhibition set for Art of Fighting 3 in a couple weeks' time, so I've been revisiting it to get myself back up to speed on actually playing that game, and the whole experience has reminded me of just how much I love that game artistically! The AOF series as a whole was always meant to showcase the technical ability of the Neo Geo, mainly with its absolutely gorgeous sprites - something that is fully on display with the characters' fully rotoscoped animations and generally stellar art direction.
But I'm gonna level with you, I'm here to talk about the music. This game's soundtrack is just killer. It mainly uses a single leitmotif throughout every track, but the instrumentation is just superb. Ryo's theme in particular refuses to leave my head.
