a shmup with gates that multiply bullets that pass through them (the name is a little weird, i think i envisioned this to be another Bean's Pairing Panic-esque game but that part never got developed)
my collaborator colin zarzour came to me with an idea: what if we took the concept from those shitty mobile ads, the ones where you put your army through different gates that have like x2 or -10 on them and your army grows or shrinks accordingly, and turn that into a proper game?
i ended up with this, a vertical shoot em up where hordes of enemies come down on you and the only way to beat them is to use the multiplicative power of gates
like with witchbrew i had HUGE plans for this game. i was envisioning a campground level with a river blocked by a fallen tree, if you shoot the tree the river spills out and slows down enemies that pass it by. i envisioned campfires that lit your bullets on fire and then patches of trees that would go up in flames. ALSO like in witchbrew, the basic gameplay turned out to be not nearly fun enough to justify the extra effort
