Here's the thing about Palworld: it sucks to see a completely cynical, soulless product that outright rips off Pokemon designs achieve financial success when most of the myriad games inspired by Pokemon/Digimon/et cetera (which, derivative though they often are, clearly display a love for and engagement with the genre) get little to no attention.
And it sucks that there's so much pushback against this, especially in the wake of Tallarico and Somerton. Like, like Palworld if you want -- that's not a moral failing -- but it is clearly blatant copying, not homage.
