its just so convenient. and preinstalled on just about any up-to-date windows machine.
although one time it defaulted to installing the czech version of Firefox and i couldn't read a fucking thing
scoop is better of course but i find that has far fewer apps. chocolatey also exists (i dont fucking know how it differs from winget any more)
