Ik i was being a lil goofy but this has been on my mind a lot lately. I think some people are just really disconnected from the side of society you miss out on when you're not constantly in some kind of secluded box. I got lucky in not feeling that disconnect bc I'm like the friend that people call when they need a guy with a car, so I'm hyper aware that pedestrians are like my neighbors and friends and stuff. But I think for other people, it's just another way they are disconnected from both society in general and, more importantly, people society wants them to see as less human. Anyways, sorry for the long rant, fuck cars, and death to capitalism!!

The one I can't get over is how casually suburban drivers in particular talk about wanting to roadkill pedestrians/cyclists. Even my family said shit like that while I rode a bike to get places.

I read something a while ago about how when someone is proficient at using a tool, and uses it a lot, their brain begins to regard the tool as an extension of the body itself. I think it explains a lot of the weirder ways people react to their vehicles.
