While it's popularly assumed that the first time this occurred was 13 April 2009, I claim that while that was the most intense "inventing Homestuck" (IH) in human history it was not in fact the first. I present as evidence Louis Carroll's Wonderland duology, whose structural and thematic obsession with both chess and playing card suits marks it as a clear IH. I suggest a careful reexamining of the historical literary and memelogical corpus to find other such examples of IHs that went unrecognized in their day due to their cultural context's unfamiliarity with Homestuck Prime and consequent inability to articulate Milkdrinker's Law.
