The Ape Painting is an upcoming horror comedy anti-adventure where you play as a failing novelist trapped in a haunted apartment. piece together the story through your interactions with household objects, most of which exist solely to remind you that your book is shit and you should give up.

features include a minimalist yet lovingly handcrafted pixel art style, over 16 possible mental breakdowns to discover, and a trans protagonist in a story that's not about romance or coming out.

AND YOU KNOW WHAT? With a different perspective on the "laughing at you" part, SAME. Genuinely shook me a bit, pfft. Such is the experience of being a human that's trying to express themselves creatively with any amount of deepness/catharsis, though, I suppose. Or just, in general!
