hi! I bought a 2007 Alfa Romeo 159 back in april and now all of you get to find out how much I've spent on it since then to either get or keep it on the road
mostly in order, bar fuel
the car: £2700
road tax: £290
insurance: £530
Major service: £220
These next faults were all identifed in the service:
New rear discs and pads: £336
New front left upper wishbone: £156.97
New left tie rod: £90.83
I got this done after I had an intermittent misfire in cylinder 1 and then lost cylinder 2 completely going 60mph two days before I needed to get it MOT'd:
New sparkplugs and coil packs: £329.35
MOT: £20
and the total is...
£4673.15
edit: ignoring road tax and insurance it's only £3,853.15, so not as bad as it looks really
but i actually have a car that drives way better than it did than when I got it so fingers crossed I've given it the TLC it needed
