  • he/him

24 year old disaster bisexual renault megane driver with a few sonas but none have fur so i guess that makes me the resident scalie

so I'm trying to find a new fancy mechanical keyboard to replace my Corsair K70 that's probably coming up on something like a decade old now but I've run into one roadblock

like 90% of the offerings are TKL keyboards and I want me a numpad (partly for caves of qud lmao)

i've seen a few but I'm completely alien to the world of fancy mechanical keyboards

alas i shall consult my friend who does know and continue my search

im not sure what you mean by fancy, but Leopold keyboards are as solid as bricks and a dream to type on (their stock key caps are really nice - they don’t have lights though, if that’s what you mean by fancy). Ducky and Varmilo are less solidly built but are generally flashier.

you can also get an external numpad - if you’re right handed and use a mouse, putting the numpad on the left is more ergonomic so your mouse can be closer on the right and you don’t have to reach your arm out as far. I personally didn’t have any muscle memory issues with that but I know some people do.

Or, if you want to go Really Deep, you could get a non-staggered layout and put the numpad on a layer.
