I was gonna write things on it for fun and send them to friends and bizarrely it’s caught on almost entirely through word of mouth. And that’s magical to me. I’ve tried Googling the site and maybe it’s because it’s new, but it doesn’t really show up in search and I don’t really care. The site exists. Eat my ass.

The first Final Fantasy I ever played on a console was 8; when I was a kid my family didn’t think spending money on video game consoles was “smart” so I saved up my own money to buy a PlayStation 2 and FF8 from the bargain bin.
My mother had one of those fancy conference call lines back in the day for her freelance work, so sometimes I would conference call (pre Ventrilo or Discord, these were the olden times) in my two friends. They both belonged to religious groups and their parents weren’t keen on them going over to a heathen’s (my) house to play, so we just called each other and played video games that way.
I have fond memories of playing FF8 with my landline on speakerphone, sharing tips with my friends. It’s in my top Final Fantasies just for the memories alone.
