I was gonna write things on it for fun and send them to friends and bizarrely it’s caught on almost entirely through word of mouth. And that’s magical to me. I’ve tried Googling the site and maybe it’s because it’s new, but it doesn’t really show up in search and I don’t really care. The site exists. Eat my ass.

it's increasingly becoming my opinion that spending quality time outdoors is important for your health. that's your ecosystem. your environment is an extension of your own body. as humanity gets increasingly interested and trapped in its own constructions you have to reorient yourself with what's real.

GO OUTSIDE

Back when I was less employed (only working weekends) I went for 1-2 hour long walks out into the countryside almost every day

I look back at that time with a lot of fondness, despite my lack of prospects at the time. I’ve not walked that route in over a year now. I need to change that.

The route finishes at the top of a hill. To me at least, it felt like the top of the world. There’s a lot of space to think up there.

"mutuals" is an illusion of actual friendship. we treat everyone like they are an acquaintance, unless proven otherwise. we leave nice comments on people's posts who we don't follow and who don't follow us, and we welcome and accept nice comments from people who don't follow us or who we dont follow back. we accept change in these dynamics, because we understand enough friendly conversation can become something more than two random people on a website. we assert our boundaries but we dont treat non-friends as never-friends

we have been on too many websites where mutuals were treated as holy and anyone otherwise was a stranger. to us, this is social media for those who actually want to be social. we hope you all will feel that, too
