it is a pay-for-participation experience first and foremost designed especially for the theater yknow. you are meant to watch this several yards from the screen wearing a pair of 3D glasses and monching some popcorn. the home version is necessarily compromised more than most of its peers unless you put enough money into the specialized equipment needed to approximate the non-home experience better than whatever concessions the home version already makes
the difference is i dont think most people are clamoring for james cameron's avatar 2nd mix. this is because the film has little to no replay value, which is why it costs so much to play once
