They're real useful if you want to remember someone's pets names or an interest of yours. They're also great if you either want to remember someone going out of their way to be helpful or remember what thing someone did that made you silence/mute them.
I just realized for the last two that you could just add the link to the comment/post where it happened too. Obviously you could add the link. Why did I never think of that?
They're awesome! I've used them for "why I followed this person" and "why I blocked this person" and "who this person is in other online spaces" and all sorts of things.
And I always feel vaguely like I'm getting away with something. Like, I'm scribbling graffiti on their profile page! And they can't stop me, or even know that I did it!
oh, adding a note any time I follow is a good idea too. Truly the only limit here is my imagination and maybe some large character limit
