all those angel paintings had to be a fetish thing on some level right. no one in the renissance was Envisioning that much detail for like fruit or whatever but angels? they've Envisioned angels for two decades as "self insert but buff and hot and holy and also wings" by the time they commit it to canvas.
like i GET IT, it doesn't necessarily mean that these days. but back then?
