Sometimes I go back to this bit from a roundtable story discussion during the production of Return of the Jedi where George Lucas lays out the story of the prequels, and its astonishing: 1.) How much of Anakin’s story stayed the exact same into the prequels 2.) How much worldbuilding he very intentionally proclaims (anyone can use the force! yoda isn’t a jedi! padme lived!) and then just… throws away!

If you read this after listening to an AMCA episode it really seems like George is just messing with us, tbh.

Seems to be the right approach? Stick to what's really important, let go of stuff that doesn't fit anymore with where the story went since you first came up with it...

That said, my first instinct would be to keep Yoda as a master who does not engage in 'Jedi things' in the prequels instead of turning him into angry jumping whirlwind of pain. On the other hand that would keep him static, and now he has at least an implied character arc happening off-screen between movies?
