is with Barney Miller. For some reason Jim is in NYC working a case, he met Fish on the CA to NY flight. Fish and Bernice were coming back from a trip she won, maybe, doesn't matter, it just his in to the squad room. Barney Miller is a 1/2 hour sit-com, of course, so it would probably have to be a 2-parter. Or maybe even a 3-parter... a Rockford, an investigative trip to Barney Miller, and then another Rockford to wrap it up...
