This song is playing on my current favorite New Wave internet channel. In, maybe, 1987 (possibly 1986 or 1989) I heard my first Depeche Mode. It was on a weakish community-run (at the time, public school district-run) low-power fm station about 40 miles away. I was cleaning trash out of the LTD I drove around. I got into the car, at some point, maybe that minute, maybe a week later, and drove the the regional music chain that also had one outlet in Florida, I assumed so the owners had a business reason to go to Florida, and bought the only Depeche Mode LP I own, Black Celebration, and every time a Depeche Mode song comes up, I think, was this the song? And I want it to be, but I suspect it was Fly on the Windscreen, because why else would I buy Black Celebration? It also has the coolest looking cover.
