Very nice write up about True Stories. Talking Heads has been one of my favorite bands for like a decade now, and that movie became an instant favorite immediately on watching it the first time.
I should probably go see Stop Making Sense while it's still in theaters. That album is how I got into their music initially, but I've somehow managed to never see the movie. I express my fandom of things in weird ways sometimes. 😅
But True Stories is just such a beautiful movie. I listen to the soundtrack regularly. I was surprised how much the instrumental tracks have stuck with me after initially getting into Byrne's music for things like Stop Making Sense, but there's just a lot of really gorgeous music in there!
oh, man, the soundtrack to this movie has been playing repeatedly in my head all week. so glad i ripped it from the criterion CD it's incredible
