This was SUPER fun!
Really great action scenes with some inventive abilities and interactions. The camera work is excellent, always finding fun ways to frame the action.
The movie essentially has two halves. The first half is a wuxia rom com. The second half is where everything goes off the rails.
If I had to criticize the film, it would be that the first half drags and that several of the plot points are hard to follow. There's also a pretty unsatisfying off-camera death towards the end. I think the rom com elements could have been greatly shortened and it would have made for a tighter movie.
I think it's a movie that is definitely worth your time, however. When you get to the bank robbery scene, everything after that point is great!
