I went for a hike with Sammie and saw some really gorgeous natural scenes! I was really inspired by this Virginia pine I saw growing out of a cliff face!
When people collect yamidori for bonsai, this is EXACTLY what they're looking for. Material with a lot of character and movement that's relatively compact thanks to growing in a harsh environment.
That being said, you should never remove trees from parks without the park department's permission. And I have no idea how you would even begin to dig this out unless you had climbing harnesses. So this tree will just have to serve as inspiration for future visitors :)
