Reading the negative Steam reviews for Wo Long is about to give me an aneurism.
The negatives seem to be:
- typical new PC release stuff with crashes/stuttering (please stop buying games the day they come out, you always benefit from waiting a few months for patches/bug fixes)
- the game is not as hard as Nioh 2
THE GAME. IS NOT AS HARD. AS NIOH 2.
I cannot imagine living in a world where you are playing the Nioh games and going "yeah, I'm getting my fingers smashed by bricks, but I really like that feeling. I wish more games punished me for paying money to play them." I was unable to finish Nioh because I hit a brick wall, tried beating it for a few hours, tried again the next night, and recognized that the game was too difficult for me. Welp! $60 down the drain! Super cool!
I understand that people like challenges. But this has become like hot peppers. People are eating ghost peppers and complaining that their serrano peppers aren't as spicy. They're two different peppers!! It's actually not a bad thing that all peppers aren't ghost peppers!
I don't even care about this game to be honest. It looked interesting and the reviews are at like 80%, but if I get it, it will probably be on a sale. I just am so flabbergasted at how Souls-like players view difficulty.
