I'm playing through Like a Dragon: Ishin right now
It's fun and I'm enjoying it. But the side stories really aren't as entertaining as other Yakuza games I've played.
Ishin, for some reason, has chosen some fairly boring premises for its side-quests. "A girl is moving away and her friend is upset, so you have to find them and tell them to say goodbye." "A woman tells really boring and long stories so you help her by... listening to her boring and long stories." "A group of people are dancing and knock into someone, so you have to beat up the dancers."
Compared to Yakuza Zero where you help a struggling dominatrix with insulting her clients or you investigate a cult or you help a punk rock group that is too timid IRL. They just feels a lot more creative and fun.
