Today was a good day from my garden. I picked a ton of cherry tomatoes! Combined with the ones I picked last week that I haven't used, I should have enough to make some tomato sauce. I'm going to be making pasta all'amatriciana this week since I found out a local Italian restaurant sells guanciale for a reasonable price. If it's not enough tomatoes, I have some canned ones in the pantry I can supplement with.
Also! I let my radishes go to seed. I did a really garbage job at actually planting them at appropriate intervals this year. They were too close together. So they were pretty runty. I harvested what I could in the spring and left the rest to flower and make seeds for the fall crop. Their seed pods are super cool looking are really satisfying to peel open when they've dried out. You can see how they fall over, which is interesting to me. They stood straight up when they were flowering, so i bet it must be useful for the seed pods to touch the ground as soon as possible.
