Honestly I have been fucking loving Act 3 of BG3

I've heard a lot of people say that this is the weakest part and I could not disagree more. I'm a veteran of BG1&2. BG2 starts you off in a fucking huge city where you go door-to-door completing quests and checking off boxes until the game literally forces you to leave. So when you give me the whole lower city where most of the buildings can be entered and have their own unique stories? I'm in my ELEMENT.

I have some serious problems with the main villain and due a bug the kid I adopted is now banished to the shadow realm apparently. But holy shit this part of the game is SO GOOD.

lol, is that where that kid went? Apparently mine got vanished there too.

But yeah, for the most part, same. I’ve honestly been loving it story wise - it feels like there’s more pay offs, climaxes to companion quests, and interesting places to explore than any other act. The only downsides are it feels buggier in the city and some of the combat encounters have been driving me nuts.

Amazing overall, though, and some choices made me completely rethink how I was playing my character.

Try turning off vsync when you're in the lower city! It greatly increases the performance of the game.

I imagine that during the initial couple of weeks (pre-patches) that it would have been rough. But now it's incredible and easily my favorite part.

I LOOOOOVE how just about every building has something interesting in it. It makes me want to go door-to-door seeing everything.
