I just learned that The Fast and The Furious franchise is a reboot of a 1954 Roger Corman movie.
Roger Corman was like THE "we have no budget and two days, go film a movie" director in the mid-20th century. It's wild that he made this cheesy teen beach movie and then fifty years later it's one of the biggest film franchises in history.
It would be like... shit... finding out that Avatar is based off of an old Flintstones episode.
