Those purple scales fucked me up for like 6 months
I painted the body a super dark purple (so dark that it was effectively black) and then realized that I couldn't actually reasonably go darker for the scales like I wanted. And I couldn't figure out a good alt color.
So I set them down and didn't paint anything for like half a year.
I got back into it today and picked some colors to try out and settled on this royal purple. I don't think it's the best color here, but fuck it, painted beats unpainted.
