I'm getting all my ducks in a row to run Righteous Blood, Ruthless Blades for my D&D group!
I'm so excited! It's a wuxia martial arts game with a TON of customization options. Basically imagine any kind of martial artist from a kung-fu or wuxia film and you can play as them. Do you want to shoot out music that cuts your opponent to ribbons? Do you want to touch Chi pressure points to reverse the flow of blood? Do you want to use a needle on a string to poke someone to death? Do you want to catch arrows using your flowing robes?
You can do all that stuff!
One really fantastic thing about this is that there is a TON of online resources for Chinese art and character references. The "gufeng" style of art intentionally tries to depict ancient Chinese artistry and styles using modern techniques and composition. It's popular in music and art and it has made finding reference pictures for RPG stuff SUPER easy. Way easier than when I was searching for references for my Spelljammer game.
