this painterly style is so neat. also I have to share this triggered some really specific memories for me (none of them bad), it reminded me of watching happy tree friends wayy before I should've been exposing myself to any gore stuff.
i was also way too young to have stumbled upon them. i remember being morbidly fascinated by the cartoons, horrified but in a way that I couldnt' help but watch more. I'm sure i would feel differently if i looked back at them now but certainly they left an impact.
god yeah morbid fascination is the exact feeling I had too. your art reminded me of one where one of them was like hanging off a cliff by the eyeball.. string. really gross stuff but really well made. even if it's "of its time" now it really was wild how popular that stuff got. I'm never going back and just keeping the memories lol.
