an actual bird

i really like digital painting, it's fun and easy to throw blocky shapes and colors down and make a nice thing. i find myself wishing i were still painting something. maybe i should take up physical painting, but i dunno if i have the patience or space or funds for a hobby like that. Besides, I dont need to be an elitist painter, i just wanna have fun and express myself, and i find digital art serves me very nicely to that end.
i def wanna explore different brushes for it tho, and i should study how other people paint and try to mimic their techniques. I have so much to learn, and it makes me giddy when i think about it
i should also try more abstract stuff too instead of trying to always paint a scene. i bet that would be fun and freeing. painting in general already feels so much more freeing than carefully sketching and lining and flood filling art. it's sloppy and imprecise by nature, and you can just slop stuff together and make it all come together along the way.
i guess im just excited to be doing something new. not, entirely new, cuz i've dabbled in this style before, but it feels like i've found something that really clicks with me and i cant wait to do more of it. i wish i were doing it right now but it's late and i gotta go to bed, but im sure i'll make great stuff when i get up tomorrow
