@xlewdprincessx asked:

What do you think of the big bappy hands on the thicc deer statue in front of the Asker Library in Norway?

they're alright. Mitten hands in general tend to feel kinda weird to me for some reason. They feel imprecise, dulled, unwieldy, limited. maybe it's just because of the pose with them resting limply on the ground, but it's not really doing anything for me.

It's just personal preference, thinking on it more directly, I feel like I worry too much about like "how are they gonna hold anything with those big clumsy hands??" which feels like a ridiculous thing to think when i draw cartoon orb hands all the time

so who am i to judge

Overall, it's something I wanna think about more. My initial impressions are "not for me". I think I would be warmer on them if I could grok whatever emotion it is im feeling from the statue just in general. The pose is very passive, very loose. It's open, but not welcoming, but also not deterring. As if to say "I am not calling you, but if you wish to come, I am here."

I'm coming around on it thinking about how they would feel to hold, to shake, to caress. I feel like while they might seem imprecise on the surface, they are probably a lot more careful and flexible. I still would prefer fingers, but I feel like I could get into these hands.

They're alright.
