what if there were a dungeon crawler rpg like etrian odyssey mixed with kingdom hearts chain of memories? you have to chart down your progress as you explore, but you also have to build each new room with components you find in previous ones. I think something like that would be really neat. I'm not sure if the card battle system from CoM would work but maybe just for shits and giggles I'll throw in the sticker star battle system, but make it so you can attack anyone instead of going in a line.
Oh, that could actually play into the room building!! because you use the same resources to fight! so you have this pressure to try and scrape by with weaker resources while saving on ones that will give you better rooms, or take easier battles for making more challenging rooms.
