i very badly need a bigger ssd for the deck, 64 is Not Enough even with an sd card and external drive for apps and games, windows just takes up so much space ambiently

If I recall the storage is a standard storage format. You should just be able to replace the card inside the steam deck. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHCKQvyxwiE
