I started a New Game Plus in Sekiro because I am a Fiend (and I want the other endings, there's apparently two optional bosses I missed out on, explaining my missing beads) and I've already beaten the headless ape. Surprisingly the bosses in NG+1 aren't much harder. It's the regular enemies you have to worry about. They hit like a truck.
