the same self the only self

self willed the peril of a thousand fates

a line of infinite ends finite finishing
the one remains oblique and pure

arching to the single point of

Meanwhile here's some other things I've been doing lately.

I finally sat down and watched Dungeon Meshi, the dub first and then the subbed version. I loved it and it deserved the hype. The monster food was a fun hook but I ended up really enjoying the setting more, and of course the characters. The dub is fantastic, especially Laios and Marcille.

I am just about to wrap up finishing Steven Universe for the first time. I watched it back when it was currently airing but stopped for Reasons. The place I remember stopping is the episode where Lars beefs it and then Steven un-beefs him and makes him pink. I think it is a good show and probably the best thing Cartoon Network has ever produced. "Mindful Education" and its song "Here Comes A Thought" is probably one of the best things they've ever aired. Many of the same moments that made me cry the first time did it to me harder the second time around.

Last night a dear friend and I started playing Subnautica. She loves the game and is kind of mentoring me through it. It's really cool. A few years ago I did a complete series replay of Ecco the Dolphin, including the 3D one which I beat for the first time and ended up loving, and thought "damb I really want another good underwater game." Subnautica was one of the first free games I got on Le Epic Store Of Game, so I finally have a use for it.

Another game I've picked back up is Risk of Rain 2 since it got a recent expansion pack. The new characters are fun, but it is unfortunate that it overall didn't release in the best state it could have. I tried to be optimistic about Gearbox taking over especially since Hopoo had such faith in them. I think the foundation is there for a great expansion pack, even if it won't be better than Survivors of the Void, but they have a long road ahead.
