I’m about halfway through Stuart Turton’s new novel The Last Murder at the End of the World right now. The main narrative mechanic is so strange, the idea of a zvaq ivehf glcr orvat gung rirelbar pna pbzzhavpngr jvgu gung'f nyfb gur aneengbe (rot13 minor spoilers, explained in the first few chapters) makes the story feel more like a play or a game than a novel.
I had two people I follow on Goodreads review this book already. One gave it a 5/5 and the other a 2/5, both attributing their scores to the ending, hah.
