We could have been a star in the barrenlands, a torch in the cold night! I do not need a Lateran pope to tell me how dark the hearts of men can get.

And if Laterano could only be a cold and distant light, I would rather be the torch that burns by the feet of those who are freezing to death.

This is music that plays on the final stage of the event Guide Ahead, where you fight Andoain, the 'Martyr'.

Andoian used to work for the holy city of Laterano, which promised salvation to those who believes in it. Andoain's travels, however, showed him that there never was one. The prosperous city has never lifted a finger to save those who are suffering elsewhere. Its salvation is reserved only to those who are born a Sankta, a race with angelic wings.

The Pope of Laterano believes that they would never be able to save everyone, that it's better to be a cold and distant light than burning out and not even being able to give that bit of hope. Andoian refuses to believe it. There has to be a better answer, is there?

Where can I repent? There is no light, no path. Those who suffer must continue to suffer, those who grieve must continue to grieve.

If the light has always been a lie... Maybe I'm nothing more than a swindler peddling false hope... who deceived myself into believing it...
