but do you really need to install gigabytes of visual studio to use it [on windows]? there's no way it's like this for other programming languages; i mean a full gcc installation doesn't even make a single gigabyte
i just don't want all this stuff i never wanted just to use this one language
i just installed it with the x86_64-pc-windows-gnu toolchain using rustup (thanks @SArpnt and @17cupsofcoffee) and that worked :3
but now i have finally fallen to the dark side (full on arch linux user)
