Usually I get torn apart by wolves in the first few seconds because I don't turn around fast enough and can't see them at all as they take out my health until it's too late. And even when I do manage to survive, the protag still keeps going on about bleeding and starving, which Concerns me. I hear Goblet Grotto got an update since I last played (yay!), and I'd like to get back into it with the right mindset.
A hidden goblet grotto pro-strat is that the attack button actually spawns an invisible cube with the "attack" slash graphic applied. The cube hangs around for half a second and anything walking into it will turn into MEAT, so you can actually spam them before an enemy shows up and they'll walk right into it. You can also press L on the title screen of the updated version to activate the secret frog trainer...
Many of the toad's glyph comments are contextual and sometimes metaphorical, so "BLEEDING" can variously mean "I am bleeding" "I am about to bleed" "You are bleeding (helpful)" "You are about to bleed (threatening)" "It is raining" and "I am looking forward to an appetizing meal". Exercise due caution when listening to your frog.
