I got a few days of my new job on the current pay period, so I decided to get myself a little treat. I might buy all the little extra components later if I need them.
This will go nicely with my PCs blue theme...

Would love to hear your opinion on it. I love the base controller that comes with pretty much every Xbox since the 360 but never jumped on the elite controllers. Does it make that much of a difference?
They're really good... when they're not being defective, which is a huge bummer. I got the series 1 and the series 2. Both have suffered from some kind of button problem, and the series one back grip eventually started coming loose. And these are all fairly common complaints.
For a premium product like this, it's inexcusable. The series 1 up button on the d-pad stopped working and the series two left bumper stopped working. The fix is some complicated controller surgery that cleans the contact (in the case of the bumper, at least) and not only undoes the factory sealing and requires proper tools, but is temporary.
The d-pad problem I couldn't resolve, I just tried to not bind anything to that direction, semi-successfully. The bumper problem I've been able to skirt by using the back paddles instead and it's been working fine.
But I shouldn't have to do any of that shit.
All that aside, they're very nice to use.
Annnnd you convinced me to stick with the Series X stock controller lol An upgrade would be nice but not if it comes with that many issues.
Everything seems to work just dandy, the only issue I'm having is Bluetooth connective problems. I'm going to look into more tomorrow.
Well I guess I lucked out nothing seems defective yet, it is under warranty so we shall see. But I am having a problem with connectivity using Bluetooth to my PC. I'm going to look into fixes tomorrow about it.
I've always used a usb cable. For what it's worth the issue shows up aftet about 2 or so years. It's not a guarantee it'll happen, but when I googled my issue, it was full of results with people having the exact same problems, tutorials on how to fix it, etc.
I will look into it, worse case I can use the cable. My old knock off Xbone controller was wired.
Update: working like a charm now, had to delete The Xbox extended thingma jigger out of Steam and updated the firmware, so far so good.
Tasty! 👍🎮
Would have loved Sony to do something similar with custom builds (Parallel analog sticks are a must for me).
That would be nice, I just got used to using both of them over the years. I'm going to order all the extra components next paycheck. I want those back paddle buttons
